Yes. The Chartered Economist® (Ch.E®) programme is open to graduates from any stream - B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.Tech, BBA, LLB and all other recognised degrees. No prior knowledge of economics is required or assumed. The programme is designed specifically to bridge the gap between any undergraduate background and a professional career in economics.
Most candidates complete the Ch.E® in approximately six months, though the programme is entirely self-paced - you set your own schedule and can start any time. The course is delivered online through AAFM's USA-ACER e-learning platform with six modules, 2,000+ pages of material, video lectures, PPTs, mock tests and case studies. The exam is sat at any Pearson VUE centre (5,000+ globally) on the 10th-20th of each month.
Yes, the Ch.E® is 100% online. There are no compulsory classes or fixed timetables - you study when it is most convenient for you. This makes the programme ideal for fresh graduates looking for their first role, as well as working professionals who want to upskill without leaving their current job. AAFM® provides active support throughout your studies.
Registration is Rs. 29,000 + GST for Indian residents (USD 1,000 for overseas students). The Ch.E® examination fee is Rs. 3,000 + GST. If you go on to pursue a specialist designation, the specialist exam fee is Rs. 10,000 + GST. Registration renewal is Rs. 10,000 + GST.
